GIFT GUIDE FOR THE ADVENTURER.

A complete gift guide for your crunchy friend who spends more time outdoors and barefoot than they do in their own home.

In this list I have linked the best products as well as provided codes for some of them that can give you a discount!

Some of the linked items are affiliate links and I may earn a commission on them. However, that does not prevent me from only using and linking the products I truly think are the best. Most of these products are ones I have gone out of my way to get links for in order to save you all money!

  1. Organic & Sustainable Clothing:

I have a few staple pieces of clothing that I usually wear then camping - a comfy long sleeve, a good pair of sweats, socks strictly for sleeping, etc.

So why not have these staple pieces be the highest quality possible and actually good for you (ie; not seeping toxins into your system through your skin)? A few great places to look for these items are Pact, Mate the Label, and Organic Basics!

2. Cast Iron Cookware

Cast iron has been used for centuries as one of the best non toxic cooking methods. It’s especially amazing while camping or living the van life because of its extreme durability and ease when cleaning! One of my favorite brands is Lodge Cast Iron.

3. Barefoot Shoes

These shoes allow your feet to fully expand and moce on the ground the way they were intended to! There are a few great brands that make all styles of shoes, from hiking boots to dress shoes and sandals. Just make sure you know your holistic friends size before you order.

My favorite brands are Vivo Barefoot, Lems, and Feel Grounds.

4. Klean Kanteen bottle:

My absolute favorite non toxic, clean water bottle is made in the USA by a great company called Klean Kanteen. I’ve been using this brand for years and have so many of their products including the 40 oz insulted bottle, the 20 oz insulted bottle, the tumblers, and the insulted food storage containers. I bring my water bottle everywhere with me and love the twist open straw lid.

They also usually have amazing Black Friday and holiday sales so keep your eyes and emails open!

5. Organic Travel Blanket:

Nothing beats the comfort, sustainability, and quality of an organic wool blanket. Under The Canopy and Pendleton make heavy, organic wool blankets that are perfect for the traveler on a cool night.

6. Camping Journal:

There a few kinds of journals that I really like for camping. I prefer a sturdy lined journal for keeping track of my adventures, but there are a few other types that can be really fun and better for someone who may not know where to start with journaling! Some of these have guided sections, prompts, and even meal planning or day outlines.

A journal is an amazing gift your crunchy friend will keep and cherish forever.

7. LMNT

I’ve been obsess with this mineral/electrolyte drink for the past few months, and I have friends who have been drinking this for years. But seriously, I drink at least one of these a day and notice a huge difference in recovery and energy levels (plus they just taste amazing). You can’t go wrong with any of the flavors, yes even the chocolate one is delicious, and it’s the perfect gift for your active and outdoorsy friend.

8. Stainless Steel Kitchenware

Quality stainless steel kitchenware speaks for itself. It’s lightweight, easy to clean, doesn’t shed micro plastics, and lasts for a long time! It’s also affordable and you don’t need to buy more than one set per person. This set was at the top of my holiday list this year as I prepare for a 3 state roadtrip!

9. Red Lights:

You may have seen red light headlamps, lamp settings, and lights on campers and there’s a reason for that! Red light doesn’t interfere with your circadian rhythm and it doesn’t disrupt the wildlife around you. By switching your lights to a red light setting at light you’re maximizing the benefits of spending time outdoors by keeping up with your circadian cycles.

We keep red string lights around the inside of our camper and use red head lamps once the sun goes down!
